Governor David Ige, Hawaiʻi’s First Lady Dawn Amano-Ige and the Washington Place Foundation invite you to Springtime at Washington Place on Saturday,
May 9, 2015.

The Royal Hawaiian Band returns to Washington Place for its first large, public performance since 2005, honoring its mission to foster music, preserve Hawaiian musical culture, inspire young musicians and enrich the lives of the people of Hawaiʻi. The Royal Hawaiian Band performed at Washington Place regularly in the 19th century and revives the tradition with this public concert.

This event honors Queen Liliuokalani’s vision for Washington Place, which is to preserve Hawaiian language and music for her people.

A limited number of tours of Washington Place will also be available by reservation only.

Reservations are required for either tours or the concert.  To make a reservation please call 586-0248 by Friday, May 1.

All adult guests may be required to present a photo ID upon entrance to Washington Place and may be subject to bag inspections. Large bags, coolers, and chairs will NOT be permitted on the grounds. There will be limited seating although mats will be provided.  Free parking will be available at the State Department of Health parking lot (Kinau Hale Building) off of Miller Street.
