HDOT NEWS RELEASE: Runway 4R-22L temporarily closed at Honolulu International Airport for airfield maintenance

Posted on Apr 7, 2017 in Latest Department News

HONOLULU – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) advises Oahu residents that Runway 4R-22L will be closed on Friday night, April 7, 2017 from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Saturday morning, April 8, 2017 for airfield maintenance.

During this time, flight patterns will be altered to use other operational runways which may cause an increase in air traffic over the Ewa Plains. All work is weather permitting.

HDOT thanks the community for its cooperation as we work to improve the condition of the Honolulu International Airport’s runways.
