PSD NEWS RELEASE: WCC furlough inmate fails to return to community-based furlough home after work

HONOLULU – Women’s Community Correctional Center (WCCC) work furlough inmate Myra Kahele failed to return to the YWCA Fernhurst furlough home in Makiki this evening. She was scheduled to return from work at 6:30 p.m.  State Sheriffs and Honolulu Police were notified. 
27-year old Kahele is 5’4” tall and weighs 165 lbs. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

Kahele was serving time for Promoting a Dangerous Drug 3 and Prohibited Acts Related to Drug Paraphernalia. Escape 2 is expected to be added to her charges. Her next parole hearing is scheduled for July of this year.

The YWCA Fernhurst work furlough program is a community-based, contracted furlough program for female offenders with community custody status.
