GOVERNOR’S OFFICE NEWS RELEASE: Governor Ige heading to son’s graduation ceremonies on the east coast

HONOLULU – Gov. David Ige and First Lady Dawn Amano-Ige are scheduled to travel to Baltimore, Maryland on Friday night where their youngest child, Matthew Ige, will graduate from Johns Hopkins University. Matthew has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and a Master of Science degree in engineering in computer science.

The Ige’s eldest daughter Lauren Ige graduated from Georgetown Law last year. Amy Ige received her nursing degree from the University of Rochester in New York last year.

Gov. and Mrs. Ige are scheduled to leave Honolulu in the evening of May 19 and will return on May 30.

Lt. Gov. Shan Tsutsui will serve as acting governor while Gov. Ige is out of state.
