State Park Aloha Shirt
If you’re looking for a unique holiday gift, consider the State Park Aloha Shirt — a partnership between the state Department of Land and Natural Resources, Pacific Historic Parks and Hilo Hattie.
The shirt features popular state parks on four islands: Diamond Head and ‘Iolani Palace on O‘ahu; the Na Pali Coast on Kaua‘i, Akaka Falls on Hawai‘i island; and ‘Iao Valley on Maui. The shirts are available at the Diamond Head Visitor Center or on line at phpstore.org for $39.95.
After expenses, Pacific Historic Parks uses the funds for education programs. In addition, if the shirt is purchased at a Hilo Hattie store in Ala Moana, Lahaina or Līhu‘e, 10 percent is donated back to the Diamond Head park.
