1) HONOLULU (SHOULDER CLOSURE)

24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Pali Highway overpass and the Houghtailing Street underpass on Friday, Oct. 5, through Friday, Oct. 12, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

2) HONOLULU (SHOULDER CLOSURE)

24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Kalihi Street overpass and the Liliha Street overpass on Friday, Oct. 5, through Friday, Oct. 12, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

Traffic will be contraflowed in the eastbound direction.

2) WAIMANALO

Lane shifts and possible single lane closure on Kalanianaole Highway in both directions between Olomana Golf Course and Poalima Street on Monday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for guardrail installation, driveway and sidewalk reconstructions, and relocation of utilities. If work can safely be done in the shoulders, then both lanes will be open to motorists.

Shoulder closure and lane shift on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) in both directions between Wailapa Road and the end of Route 56 in Princeville on Tuesday, Oct. 9, through Friday, Oct. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for sign installations, striping and rumble strip grooving.

2) LIHUE TO PRINCEVILLE

Short lane closures in both directions with alternating traffic control along Kuhio Highway (Route 56) from the beginning of the route in Lihue to the end of the route in Princeville beginning Friday, Oct. 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for vegetation control and roadside maintenance. Additional closures for maintenance may be needed the following week.

1) WAIKOKO TO WAINIHA (EMERGENCY WORK, LOCAL ACCESS BY CONVOY)
Limited access for local traffic on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) between Waikoko and Wainiha on Mondays through Saturdays from 5:50 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sundays and holidays from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., due to repairs to the road from the April Flood. 1) MAKAIWA

Intermittent closure of Hana Highway (Route 360) at Mile Marker 7.8 (before Oopuola Bridge) from Monday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 12, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. for mitigation work and slope reinforcement. The intermittent closures will be in 15-30-minute intervals for the safety of the traveling public as HDOT works to install measures to prevent future rockfalls and landslides.

1) VOLCANO/KAU (24/7 CLOSURE)
Alternating lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) in both directions in the vicinity of Mile Marker 30 near Volcano National Park, seven days a week over a 24-hour period, for road repairs due to volcanic activity.

2) VOLCANO/KAU

Alternating lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) in both directions in the vicinity of Mile Marker 29, south of the Volcano National Park entrance, on Monday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for road repairs due to volcanic activity.

3) VOLCANO/KAU

Alternating lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) in both directions in the vicinity of Mile Marker 32 near the Namakani Paio Camp Ground in Volcano National Park, on Monday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for road repairs due to volcanic activity.

— HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) —

1) SOUTH HILO (WEEKEND WORK + 24/7 CLOSURE FROM MONDAY, OCT. 8)

Alternating lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions in the vicinity of Mile Marker 11 in Pepeekeo on Saturday, Oct. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

24/7 closure of the Hilo-bound lane of Hawaii Belt Road at Mile Marker 11 with alternating traffic control begins Monday, Oct. 8, and is expected to run through Friday, Oct. 12. Lane closures in this are for road repairs and installation of a subsurface drainage system. Additional closures for the drainage installation are expected.

2) SOUTH HILO (WEEKEND WORK + WEEKDAY)

Alternating lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions in the vicinity of Mile Marker 7.1 in Papaikou (between on Saturday, Oct. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Monday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for installation of a retaining wall.

3) SOUTH HILO

Alternating lane closure on Bay Front Highway/Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between Mile Markers 2.45 and 9.78 in the vicinity of Wailuku Bridge to Waiaama Stream Bridge on Monday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 12, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., for paving work.

— KOHALA MOUNTAIN ROAD (ROUTE 250) —

1) SOUTH KOHALA

Alternating lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) in both directions between Mile Markers 7.2 and 9.2 on Monday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for guardrail work.
