DOT NEWS RELEASE: Public informational meeting scheduled for replacement of Wainiha temporary bridges
Posted on Sep 1, 2015 in Latest Department News, Newsroom, Office of the Governor Press ReleasesLIHUE – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) in partnership with the Federal Highway Administration, Central Federal Lands Highway Division (FHWA-CFLHD) will be holding a public meeting to discuss a project to replace three temporary bridges located on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) in Wainiha. Work is currently in the environmental compliance and preliminary engineering phase. This meeting is being held to support the National Environmental Policy Act and Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act as well as applicable Hawaii Revised Statutes. The meeting is scheduled at the following location and time.

Information will be shared and input will be collected on the proposed project design and traffic management strategies necessary to support construction activities. FHWA and HDOT representatives will be available to answer questions on the project.
