DPS NEWS RELEASE: Missing Laumaka furlough inmate turns himself in at Honolulu Police Department

HONOLULU – Work furlough inmate John Dziejak turned himself in at the Honolulu Main Police Station at 7:30 a.m.  Dziejak failed to return from a furlough pass to the Laumaka Work Furlough Center on August 26. He left in the morning on a job-seeking pass and was scheduled to return at 5:30 p.m.  He will be returned to OCCC.

Dziejak was serving time for Second Degree Theft.  Escape 2 is expected to be added to his charges. His next parole hearing was scheduled for February 2016.

Dziejak is classified as community custody which is the lowest custody level.
