DLNR NEWS RELEASE: Annual release of ‘A’o on Kauai
Posted on Oct 12, 2015 in Latest Department News, Newsroom, Office of the Governor Press ReleasesSeventy Five 4th graders from two Kauai schools will once again participate in the E Ho’opomaika la Na Manu ‘A’o organized by the Kauai Endangered Seabird Recovery Project in cooperation with the Save our Shearwaters program. This is an opportunity for keiki to learn about seabirds and their connection to Hawaiian culture. Please note that releases are dependent on the birds. If no birds are available to release, the event will be rescheduled. Please RSVP to the media contact below, so you can be contacted in the event of a postponement. This event is not open to the public.
