Members of the Hawaii State Legislature will participate in a tour to see the organizations creating the tech ecosystem, which allows local startups to grow and compete in global markets. Hawaii legislators will interact with the state’s brightest tech and innovation companies where high-wage jobs are being created during a half-day tour starting at Manoa Innovation Center (MIC).

Legislators will hear presentations by incubator tenants, Hawaii Small Business Innovation Research (HSBIR) award winners and Innovate Hawaii manufacturing clients, as well as visit local accelerator programs Energy Excelerator (at 10:40 a.m.), Blue Startups at (11:10 a.m.) and XLR8UH (at 11:35 a.m.). The tour will conclude with a presentation by HTDC on the Entrepreneur Sandbox project fostering tech and innovation in Kakaako.

Companies who will be exhibiting their cutting-edge technologies for legislators include MIC graduates Blue Planet Software, Terasys Systems, Kamakura, CyberCom, On‘e Technology and HDEP, and MIC tenants Adnoviv, Hawaiian Coolwater, Meeting Sift, DevLeague, HNL.io, HiCap, Hyperspective, Resurgo, Spectrum Photonics. Cardax, Sudokrew, Hawaii Drone and Liko Film.
