GOVERNOR’S OFFICE NEWS RELEASE: Governor Ige honors survivors and the fallen on anniversary of Pearl Harbor attack

David Y. Ige will honor survivors and those who lost their lives, at a ceremony at Kilo Pier, Joint Base Pearl Harbor.
As our national and State of Hawai’i flags continue to fly at half-staff at all state offices, agencies and the Hawai’i National Guard by a standing declaration effective since December 3rd, Gov. Ige would like to express his heartfelt gratitude while recalling the sacrifices of those who served during World War II, with a special remembrance for those who lost their lives during the attack on Pearl Harbor.
“We honor their dedication and the sacrifices they made for our country, and we pay tribute to the families they left behind. We stand together to pledge to uphold their legacy and honor their memory,” said Gov. Ige.
