Honolulu, HI – The deadline to re-enroll for continued health coverage has been extended by 48 hours. Individuals and families who would like their coverage to be in effect on January 1, 2016 must enroll by 10 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015.

The final days heading into the Dec. 15 deadline were the busiest HealthCare.gov experienced. In previous open enrollments, HealthCare.gov has provided additional time to make sure individuals seeking coverage before the deadline can enroll.

Individuals and families can enroll through HealthCare.gov online or by phone 1-800-318-2596 (open 24 hours a day, seven days a week). If you need in-person assistance, you can schedule an appointment with a Kōkua through the Hawaii Health Connector. Interested individuals should bring documentation such as a valid passport, I-94, social security number, and proof of income (i.e., pay stubs) if applicable for all household members seeking insurance.
