When: Wednesday, April 20 at 10 a.m.
Where: State Capitol, 5th floor, Governor’s Ceremonial Room
Details: To help celebrate the Globetrotters’ 90th anniversary, the team will donate 90 tickets in the governor’s name to the Public Schools of Hawai‘i Foundation. Hawai‘i youngsters will see the Globetrotters on Saturday, Apr. 23. During their 90th year, the Globetrotters are increasing their community outreach through their “Great Assist” initiative. This week, Handles Franklin and TNT Maddox are presenting the team’s “ABCs of Bullying Prevention” program to elementary schools on O‘ahu. They will also take their “Smile Patrol” to Shriners Hospital for Children in Honolulu.
