GOVERNOR’S OFFICE NEWS RELEASE: Governor Ige heading to east coast for daughters’ graduation ceremonies

HONOLULU – Gov. David Ige and First Lady Dawn Amano-Ige will be traveling to New York and Washington, D.C. to join their daughters as they mark academic milestones.

Oldest daughter Lauren Ige, 25, graduates from Georgetown Law. Amy Ige, 24, graduates from nursing school at the University of Rochester. Son Matthew Ige, 20, is studying computer science at Johns Hopkins University.

Gov. and Mrs. Ige leave Honolulu in the afternoon on May 11 and return on May 23.

Lt. Gov. Shan Tsutsui will serve as acting governor while Gov. Ige is out of state.
