Bill Signing Ceremony: Birth Certificates, Retail Liquor Licenses, Water Resources Management

What: Bill signing ceremonies for the following:
Birth Certificates
- HB 631: Establishes the documentation required when requesting the Department of Health to issue a new birth certificate with a sex designation change.
Retail Liquor Licenses
- HB 770: Authorizes restaurants with a liquor license to sell beer, malt beverages, or cider for off-premises consumption.
Water Resources Management
- HB 1273: Permits the development of hydroelectric facilities for energy development in agricultural districts for agricultural use.
- HB 1394: Requires DOT airports division to conduct a water scalping (the extraction of valuable, usable water from a sewerage network) feasibility study and, if funds are available, authorizes development of a process design for the implementation of water scalping technology.
- HB 393: Waives DOH water quality certification requirement for restoration, repair, and operation of Hawaiian loko i‘a (fishponds), administered by DLNR.
