DOH MEDIA ADVISORY: Hawaii Department of Health launches new online resource to increase access to Hawaii Health Data

Posted on Nov 3, 2015 in Latest Department News, Newsroom, Office of the Governor Press Releases

Event: Demonstration of new interactive online tool for accessing Hawaii health data about communities, counties, and the state.

Description: The Department of Health’s Hawaii Health Data Warehouse (HHDW) has been a valuable online resource since 2004, providing data about the health of Hawaii communities for businesses, non-profits, policymakers, government agencies, journalists, researchers, students and others. Hundreds of reports in the warehouse provide health data categorized by topic, data source, county, and ethnicity. A new online tool will make the search for HHDW health data easier and provide customized results. The new interactive tool now gives the user the ability to modify reports, apply filters and change how data is displayed, including the use of maps.
