Posted on May 13, 2015 in Latest Department News, Newsroom, Office of the Governor Press Releases

HONOLULU — The state Department of Transportation advises Ewa residents of an expected increase in aircraft traffic over the area due to airfield maintenance work at the Honolulu International Airport.

Runway 4R-22L will be closed for airfield maintenance work on Thursday, May 14, from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. During this time, flight patterns will be modified, resulting in increased air traffic over the Ewa area.

The HDOT appreciates residents’ patience and understanding as we work to improve the condition of the Honolulu International Airport runways.
