THE WEEKEND OF SEPT. 18 – SEPT. 20

— H-1 FREEWAY —

 

1) AIEA (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction in the vicinity of the Kaahumanu Street overpass on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 5 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for pole replacement.

 

2) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Two right lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between Radford Drive overpass and Nimitz Highway on Sunday, Sept. 20, through Friday, Sept. 25, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., for pavement markings.

 

3) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction in the vicinity of the Airport offramp (Exit 16) on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 5:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., for bridge deck repairs.

 

4) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Alternating lane closure on the Joint Base PBHH offramp (Exit 15B) from the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction on Sunday, Sept. 20, through Friday, Sept. 25, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., for The Rail project.

1) MOANALUA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure on the H-201 Moanalua Freeway in the westbound direction between Halawa Interchange and Middle Street on Sunday, Sept. 20, through Friday, Sept. 25, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., for marking installations.

 

 

— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY (ROUTES 93/930) —

 

1) WAIANAE (WEEKEND CLOSURE)

Right lane closure on Farrington Highway (Route 93) in the eastbound direction between Maipalaoa Road and St. John’s Road on Monday, Sept. 21, through Friday, Sept. 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., for the Maipalaoa Bridge Replacement project.

The eastbound shoulder and right lane will be closed over a 24-hour period, seven days a week. Two lanes will remain open in the eastbound direction and one lane in the westbound direction for morning rush hour. For afternoon rush hour, two lanes will be open in the westbound direction and one lane in the eastbound direction around 3 p.m.

 

2) WAIPAHU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lanes will be closed as needed on Farrington Highway (Route 7101) in both directions between Fort Weaver Road and the H-1 Freeway Overpass (near Leeward Community College), on Sunday, Sept. 20, through Friday, Sept. 25, over a 24-hour period, for The Rail.

Alternating lane closure on Kamehameha Highway in both directions between the H-1/H-2 Split and Halawa Interchange on Sunday, Sept. 20, through Friday, Sept. 25, over a 24-hour period, for The Rail.

— LIKELIKE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 63) —

 

1) KALIHI TO KANEOHE (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Full closure of Likelike Highway (Route 63) in the northbound direction between Valley View Drive and Kahekili Highway on Sunday night, Sept. 20, through Friday morning, Sept. 25, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., for road resurfacing. Drivers coming out of Nalanieha Street will not be able to make a right turn onto Likelike Highway.

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) in both directions between mile markers 39.5 and 44, Saturday, Sept. 19, through Friday, September 25, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., for landscape maintenance. Traffic flow in both directions will be maintained through alternating traffic control (contraflow).

 

— KUAKINI HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

1) KONA

Single lane closure on Kuakini Highway (Route 11) in both directions between mile markers 118 and 122, Laaloa Avenue and Palani Road, on Saturday, Sept. 19, through Friday, Sept. 25, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., for landscape maintenance. Traffic flow in both directions will be maintained through alternating traffic control (contraflow).

 

2) KONA

Single lane closure on Kuakini Highway (Route 11) in both directions between mile markers 121 and 122, Poni Place and Palani Road, on Saturday, Sept. 19, through Friday, Sept. 25, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., for landscape maintenance. Traffic flow in both directions will be maintained through alternating traffic control (contraflow).

 

 

— VOLCANO ROAD (ROUTE 11) — 

1) HILO

Closure of single lane at a time on Volcano Road (Route 11) in both directions between mile markers 8 and 12, Keaau 9 ½ Mile Cp and Volcano Road, in the vicinity of Hilo on Saturday, September 19, through Friday, September 25, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., for landscape maintenance.

 

2) HILO

Closure of single lane at a time on Volcano Road (Route 11) in both directions between mile markers 17.5 and 21, Mauna Kea Drive and Kahaualea Road, in the vicinity of Hilo on Saturday, September 19, through Friday, September 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for pot hole repairs.

 

 

— HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) —

1) HAMAKUA

Closure of single lane at a time on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between mile markers 38 and 40, between Kalopa Road and Chopper Boulevard, on Saturday, September 19, through Friday, September 25, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., for tree trimming work. Traffic flow in both directions will be maintained through alternating traffic control (contraflow).

 

 

— QUEEN KAAHUMANU HIGHWAY (ROUTE 19) —

1) KOHALA

Closure of single lane at a time on Queen Kaahumanu Highway (Route 19) in both directions between mile markers 68 and 69, between Kaunaoa Drive and Hapuna Beach Road, on Saturday, September 19, through Friday, September 25, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., for tree trimming work. Traffic flow in both directions will be maintained through alternating traffic control (contraflow).

 

 

— BRIGG ROAD —

1) HILO

Full closure of a section of Brigg Road (fronting the Foreign Trade Zone building) in both directions, from Wednesday, August 26, through Friday, September 18, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., for waterline installation. Road users can access Brigg Road (past the Foreign Trade Zone building) via Railroad Avenue.

 

 

— KEAAU-PAHOA ROAD (ROUTE 130) — 

1) PUNA (24-HOUR WORK)

Lane shift on Keaau-Pahoa Road (Route 130) in both directions between mile markers 7.5 and 7.9, Ilima Street and Ainaloa Boulevard, on Saturday, September 19, through Friday, September 25, over a 24-hour period, for construction of the Ainaloa Roundabout.

 

 

— KOHALA MOUNTAIN ROAD/HAWI ROAD (ROUTE 250) —

1) KOHALA

Single lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) in both directions between mile markers 13 and 15, near Puuhue Road and Kohala Mountain Road, on Saturday, September 19, through Friday, September 25, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., for landscape maintenance. Traffic flow in both directions will be maintained through alternating traffic control (contraflow).

 

 

— AKONI PULE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 270) —

1) NORTH KOHALA

Single lane closure on Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) in both directions between mile markers 20.5 and 22, Kynnersley Road and Iole Road, on Saturday, September 19, through Friday, September 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for tree trimming work. Traffic flow in both directions will be maintained through alternating traffic control (contraflow).

— KUHIO HIGHWAY (ROUTE 56) —

1) KAPAA (24-HOUR WORK)

Traffic on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) near mile marker 10 is shifted to the temporary Kapaa Stream Bridge 24-hours a day, seven days a week until further notice. For safety during the shift to the temporary bridge, right turns off Kuhio Highway onto Mailihuna Road are not permitted. Access to Kapahi is recommended via the Kawaihau Road or Hauala Road detours.
