HONOLULU — The Department of Taxation’s 2015 Tax Workshops on Hawai‘i, Maui, Kaua‘i, and O‘ahu, will kick-off in Kona on Wednesday, September 30, 2015.

This year’s workshop topics include a 2015 Legislative Update and an overview of the Transient Accommodations Tax.

“We’re pleased to present our annual Tax Workshops for the state’s tax professionals,” said Director of Taxation Maria Zielinski. “These workshops provide us a chance to update and educate our tax community on current issues, as well as provide the community an opportunity to share their ideas and suggestions.”

All workshops run from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., with registration starting at 8:00 a.m. The fee is $80 for individuals who submit their registration and payment by the registration deadline. Late registrations are $100. Walk-in registrations will be accepted at the door on a space‑available basis. The fee includes a continental breakfast, workshop materials, and three (3) hours of Hawai‘i Board of Public Accountancy Continuing Professional Education credit. Workshop materials may be separately purchased for $25 per set.
