WHAT:  

Bill Signing Ceremonies

HB 942 Filipino Veterans Memorial: Authorizes the

State Foundation on Culture and the Arts to commission an

artist to design and build a monument to honor and

commemorate Filipino veterans of World War II.

 

HB 1534  Residence Requirements for Appointed Officers:

Allows a waiver of the one-year residency requirement for

certain appointed officers.

 

SB 850 Information Technology: Requires the CIO to identify

information technology products of the executive branch,

including the DOE and UH, that will be subject to independent

verification and validation.

 

HB 425 University of Hawai‘i – Technology Transfer:  Makes

certain sections of the Code of Ethics inapplicable to

technology transfer activities.

 

HB 847 University of Hawai‘i Research: Establishes the

Innovation and Commercialization Initiative Program to

give the UH the legal authority to create, promote and

participate in new economic enterprises and expand workforce

opportunities based on inventions and discoveries generated

by or at the UH
