WHAT: Recognition ceremony  for the U.S. Army’s SOLDIER OF THE YEAR

The Soldier of the Year is the winner of the U.S. Army’s Best Warrior competition, a premier event in which 20 of the Army’s finest Warriors take part in a four-day competition. The soldiers conquer urban warfare simulations, participate in board interviews, physical fitness tests, written exams and Warrior tasks and battle drills.
