What:           State of the State address and post-State of the State media availability

Governor Ige will outline his vision and plan for a variety of issues that have existed for too long. They include: air conditioning for our public school students and teachers, a renaissance for Kalihi including the future of the O’ahu Community Correctional Center, a big push for affordable housing units which is key to addressing homelessness, and investment in public housing, the Hawai‘i State Hospital, agriculture, innovation economy and more.

Media availability to follow shortly after the State of the State

Where:       State House Chambers

Media availability to be held in the Governor’s Ceremonial Room, 5th floor

** Embargoed State of the State text will be distributed by email to credentialed, local media at 9 a.m. on January 25, 2016. Hard copies will be distributed to credentialed, local media covering the event.
