GOVERNOR’S OFFICE NEWS RELEASE: Governor in Montana for Western Governors’ Association conference

HONOLULU – Gov. David Ige is attending the Western Governors’ Association’s annual conference in Whitefish, Montana. The event began on Sunday, June 25 and concludes on Wednesday, June 28.

The governor will attend meetings and participate in discussions on a variety of topics including cybersecurity for power grids, economic development, energy, maintaining infrastructure, and bilateral trade between the U.S. and Canada.

The governor is traveling with first lady Dawn Amano Ige, who will also be attending various meetings and discussions.

The total cost of this trip is $3,000.

Lt. Gov. Shan Tsutsui is serving as acting governor until Gov. Ige returns to Hawai‘i  on June 28.
