Posted on Sep 16, 2020 in Latest Department News, Newsroom

HONOLULU — As part of the National Preparedness Month (NPM) festivities this September, Hawai’i Emergency Management Agency (HI-EMA) would like to highlight its YouTube channel.

“It’s a great way to use social media along with our in-house videographer’s immense skills to engage and educate the public about not only disaster preparedness but also pandemic safety,” said HI-EMA Administrator, Luke Meyers.

Currently, the HI-EMA YouTube channel has videos featuring staff member profiles, tips on hurricane preparedness, education regarding COVID-19, and even a fascinating story of a rum distillery that found itself transformed into a hand sanitizer plant.
