ATG NEWS RELEASE: HAWAII SEXUAL ASSAULT KIT INITIATIVE RELEASES UPDATE ON NUMBER OF KITS SUBMITTED FOR TESTING

HONOLULU – Attorney General Doug Chin announced today a quarterly update regarding the submission of sexual assault evidence kits for testing. The new numbers, posted on the information dashboard for the Hawaii Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (SAKI) (https://ag.hawaii.gov/hisaki/home/information-dashboard/), are current as of September 30, 2017. This update shows that the pace for sexual assault evidence kits submitted for testing has increased over the past three months.
