ATG NEWS RELEASE: Protest of habitat conservation contract dismissed
Posted on Oct 16, 2017 in Latest Department NewsHONOLULU – A state administrative hearings officer on October 6, 2017, dismissed a protest of a contract award to draft a habitat conservation plan and environmental assessment for nene geese on Kauai. The forestry and wildlife division of the State Department of Land and Natural Resources administers this project.
Whale Environmental Services, LLC, had protested the decision to award the small purchase contract to another bidder. The state administrative hearings officer agreed with the State’s argument that the protest must be dismissed due to lack of jurisdiction.
The State of Hawaii was represented by Deputy Attorneys General Daniel Morris and Cindy Young.
