DCCA NEWS RELEASE: Contractors are urged to renew early and online at MyPVL

Posted on Aug 15, 2016 in Latest Department News

HONOLULU – The Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA) Professional and Vocational Licensing Division (PVL) and the Contractors License Board (CLB) are encouraging more than 13,000 Hawaii licensed contractors to renew their licenses online at MyPVL (https://pvl.ehawaii.gov/mypvl).

On-time renewals are being accepted online until midnight on September 30, 2016.  Late renewals after September 30, 2016 will not be accepted online, and must be submitted by mail or in person to the DCCA/PVL with an additional late fee of $50.00.

Instructions for completing the online renewal and specific requirements for renewal have been mailed to each current license holder.

Earlier this year, nearly 30,000 (95%) of Hawaii professionals up for renewal renewed their licenses online during the April and June 2016 renewal cycles.

MyPVL service enables 24/7 access to information and services from a single dashboard for all PVL licensees. It was created through a partnership with PVL and the state’s internet portal manager, Hawaii Information Consortium, LLC. The service is one of many online services for citizens and businesses offered through the state’s official website, eHawaii.gov.
