Hawai‘i’s Preparation for the Future

There’s absolutely no question that human production of greenhouse gasses is causing global climate changes. The science is rock solid and the negative impacts have already begun to accrue and accelerate at a frightening rate. All across Hawai‘i discussions, planning and preparations for a different future, one with dramatic changes, are well underway. Hawai’i is ramping up: technical reports and television specials on Sea Level Rise; public discussions on impacts to forest and aquatic resources, and planning at the highest levels of government for the coming years and decades.
