On the final day of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) World Conservation Congress Hawai‘i 2016, Governor David Ige, Dept. of Land and Natural Resources Chair Suzanne Case, and Chipper Wichman, Vice-Chair of the National Host Committee will share their impressions and reflections of the Congress. Hawai‘i’s commitments to conservation and sustainability are aligned with the world’s priorities and in line with the strategic issues of importance outlined and discussed during the IUCN World Conservation Congress. Thousands of delegates and members from hundreds of countries spent the last ten days in Hawai‘i at the planet’s most important and high-level conservation gathering.
