HONOLULU – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) notifies the traveling public that the Waimanalo bound lanes on Kalanianaole Highway, between Keolu Drive and the Olomana Golf Club, will be closed on Monday, Dec. 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for filming of Magnum P.I.

Two-way traffic will be maintained via contraflow in the Kailua bound lanes. For details, see the traffic control plan at 12.16.19 Magnum P.I. filming.

During the closure hours, public transportation service will run as regularly scheduled in the filming area. Message boards will inform motorists of a detour for traffic heading towards the golf course in Waimanalo bound lanes. Special duty police officers will be on site to assist with traffic control.

HDOT reminds motorists to allow for extra travel time and to drive with caution when getting to their destinations.
