For the weekend of Friday, Dec. 13, to Sunday, Dec. 15

PLEASE NOTE:

Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.
All projects are weather permitting. This list is updated weekly on Thursday afternoons.

OAHU

— H-1 FREEWAY —

1) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Nuuanu Avenue overpass and Liliha Street overpass on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., for lighting work.

 

2) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in both directions between the Piikoi Street onramp and the McCully Street overpass on Sunday, Dec. 15, from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m., for signage work.

 

3) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)
Roving closure and lane shifts on the H-1 Freeway in both directions in the vicinity of the Airport offramp (Exit 16) on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., for deck repairs.

 

— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY —

1) WAIPAHU (WEEKEND CLOSURE)

Closure of Farrington Highway in both directions between Paiwa Street and Pupukahi Street on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 3 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., for the Waipahu Christmas Parade.  All cross streets along the event routes will be closed progressively until all units of the parade have cleared the area.

 

— KALANIANAOLE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 72) —

1) WAIMANALO (WEEKEND CLOSURE)

Closure of Kalanianaole Highway (Route 72) in the eastbound direction between Humuniki Street and Waimanalo Beach Park on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., for the Waimanalo Christmas Parade.  All cross streets along the event routes will be closed progressively until all units of the parade have cleared the area.

 

— KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY (ROUTES 80/83/99) —

1) HALAWA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Closure of Kamehameha Highway (Route 83) in the westbound direction between Ford Island Bridge and Salt Lake Boulevard on Sunday night, Dec. 15, through Monday morning, Dec. 16, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., for The Rail project.

Lane closure on Kamehameha Highway in the eastbound direction between Radford Drive and the Keehi interchange on Monday, Dec. 16, through Friday, Dec. 20, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., and from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for The Rail project.

Closure of Kamehameha Highway in the westbound direction between Acacia Road and Waiawa Road on Sunday night, Dec. 15, through Friday morning, Dec. 20, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., for The Rail project.

— LIKELIKE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 63) —

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure on Likelike Highway (Route 63) in both directions between the Wilson Tunnel and Valley View Drive on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., for tree trimming.

 

— NIMITZ HIGHWAY (ROUTE 92) —

1) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)   

Lane closure on Nimitz Highway in the eastbound direction between the H-1 Freeway and Sand Island Access Road on Sunday night, Dec. 15, through Friday morning, Dec. 20, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., for The Rail project.

2) HONOLULU (WEEKEND CLOSURE)

Turning lanes will be closed from Nimitz Highway to Alakea Street, Halekauwila Street and South Street on Sunday, Dec. 15, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., for the Jingle Rock Run. All cross streets along the event routes will be closed progressively until all units of the parade have cleared the area.

 

 

— PALI HIGHWAY (ROUTE 61) —

1) NUUANU TO KANEOHE (WEEKEND AND WEEKLY CLOSURE)
Closure of the Pali Highway (Route 61) in the Honolulu-bound direction between Waokanaka Street and Kamehameha Highway for slope stabilization. Access to the Pali Highway is as follows:

Kailua-bound direction

  • Access is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Honolulu-bound direction

  • Access is available on weekdays from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Weekend schedule

  • Access is available continuously in both directions from 5 a.m. on Saturday morning, through 8 p.m. on Monday night.

 

2) NUUANU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closures on the Pali Highway in the northbound direction between Nuuanu Pali Drive and Auloa Road on Friday night, Dec. 13, through Saturday morning, Dec. 14, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., for lighting and road repairs.

Left lane closure on the Pali Highway in the Kailua-bound direction between Pacific Heights Road and Akamu Place on Friday night, Dec. 13, through Saturday morning, Dec. 14, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., for drainage and electrical work.

4) NUUANU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Closure of the Pali Highway (Route 61) in the Honolulu-bound direction between South Kuakini Street and Coelho Way on Friday night, Dec. 13, through Saturday morning, Dec. 14, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., for electrical work.

 — KALIHI STREET (ROUTE 63) —

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure on Kalihi Street (Route 63) in both directions between Dillingham Boulevard and King Street on Friday night, Dec. 13, through Friday night, Dec. 20, for the Kalihi Street Resurfacing project. Sidewalk closures and detours will be in place at various locations throughout Kalihi Street, from Dillingham Boulevard to Eluwene Street during the weekend work. Closure details are as follows:

  • Night work:
    • Lane will be closed on Friday night, Nov. 13, from 7 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
  • Day work:
    • Lane will be closed on Saturday, Dec. 14, and Sunday, Dec. 15, from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

 

— KAAMILO STREET —

1) AIEA (WEEKEND/NIGHT CLOSURE)

Closure of Kaamilo Street in the northbound direction between Ulune Street and Moanalua Road on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., for the Aiea Christmas Parade. Traffic will be contraflowed in the southbound lanes.

 

KAUAI

— KAUMUALII HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

1) HANAPEPE (24-HOUR CLOSURE)

The Hanapepe River Bridge on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) between Puolo Road and Iona Road will be closed, and traffic will be shifted to the adjacent temporary bridge over a 24-hour period, 7 days a week. Speed limit is reduced to 25 mph.

 

MAUI  

— HANA HIGHWAY (ROUTES 36/360) —

1) WAILUA VALLEY (24-HOUR WORK)

Lane closure on Hana Highway (Route 360) in the northbound direction in the vicinity of the Wailua Valley State Wayside on Saturday Dec. 14, through Friday, Dec. 20, over a 24-hour period, for soil nail installation.

 

2) HAIKU (24-HOUR WORK)

Lane closure on Hana Highway (Route 360) in the northbound direction in the vicinity of Papaaea Road on Saturday Dec. 14, through Friday, Dec. 20, over a 24-hour period, for retaining wall work.

 

HAWAII ISLAND

— DANIEL K. INOUYE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 200) — 

1) NORTH HILO (24-HOUR CLOSURE)

Shoulders are closed on the Daniel K. Inouye Highway (Route 200) in both directions at the Mauna Kea Access Road intersection, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. Exercise caution when traveling through the area. 

— MAUNA KEA ACCESS ROAD (ROUTE 210) —

1) NORTH HILO (24-HOUR CLOSURE)

Mauna Kea Access Road (Route 210) is closed in both directions at the Daniel K. Inouye Highway intersection, over a 24-hour period, 7 days a week.

LANAI

No weekend lane closures are currently scheduled on Lanai.

MOLOKAI

No weekend lane closures are currently scheduled on Molokai.
