HONOLULU — The Department of Taxation’s 2016 Tax Workshops on Hawai‘i, Kaua‘i, O‘ahu and Maui will kick-off in Kona on Tuesday, August 2, 2016.

This year’s workshop topics include the 2016 Legislative and Administrative Rule Update, our new Administrative Appeals process, Tax Practitioner Specialist, Taxpayer Advocate, and an update on Tax System Modernization.

“We’re pleased to present our annual Tax Workshops for the state’s tax professionals,” said Director of Taxation Maria Zielinski. “These workshops provide us a chance to update and educate our tax community on current issues, as well as provide the community an opportunity to share their ideas and suggestions.”

All workshops will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with registration starting at 8:00 a.m. The fee is $90 for individuals who submit their registration and payment by the registration deadline. Late registrations are $100 per person. Walk-in registrations will be accepted at the door on a space-available basis. The fee includes a continental breakfast, workshop materials, and three (3) hours of Hawai‘i Board of Public Accountancy Continuing Professional Education credit. Workshop materials may be separately purchased for $25 per set.
