This event will include an update on the rollout of electronic signature capability to departments statewide as part of the governor’s paperless initiative
When: MONDAY, Oct. 10, 2016 at 11:30 a.m.

Why: Gov. Ige and CIO Nacapuy will provide an update on the status of the state’s “eSign Service” electronic signature solution and its implementation to executive branch departments statewide. On Oct. 1, 2015, the Office of the Governor, with assistance from the Office of Enterprise Technology Services (ETS), piloted the use of eSign Service, processing all documents electronically to the extent possible. ETS has since begun expanded the service to departments statewide to increase government efficiency within the executive branch.
Electronic Records Day began as an initiative of the Council of State Archivists of the United States and today is observed nationally as an opportunity to raise awareness about the crucial roles electronic records play in our world.
