Flags to continue to fly at half-staff until sunset, May 21, in honor of Sen. Daniel K. Akaka

HONOLULU – Gov. David Ige ordered that the United States flag and the Hawai‘i state flag be flown at half-staff in honor of Sen. Daniel K. Akaka from April 6, until sunset on the day of his interment.

Sen. Akaka’s family has scheduled a private burial for May 21.

Therefore, the United States flag and the Hawai‘i state flag shall be flown at half-staff at the State Capitol and upon all state offices and agencies as well as the National Guard in the State of Hawai‘i, until sunset on May 21, 2018.
