Posted on Dec 5, 2018 in Latest Department News

Filming will involve intermittent traffic control; motorists may experience delays.

HONOLULU – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) notifies the traveling public of film activity on the north shore of Oahu. The highway will remain open; however, special duty police officers will conduct intermittent traffic control at the following sites on the following dates:

Farrington Highway between Camp Erdman and Dillingham Airfield

  • Tuesday, December 4, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
  • Temporary stoppages of traffic for one to three minutes.

Kamehameha Highway between Sunset Beach Park and Waihuena Farm (59-414 Kamehameha Highway)

  • Friday, December 7, between 4 p.m. and 12 p.m. (midnight)
  • Temporary stoppages of traffic for up to five minutes.

Motorists are advised to account for extra travel time and to use apps such as Google Maps or Waze to plan their commutes. The film production has been asked to limit the number of stoppages should traffic backup excessively.
