HDOT News Release: Full weekend closure of Waikoko Bridge planned for May 31 through June 3 is canceled

Nighttime bridge work on Kuhio Highway is also canceled this week (May 28-31) as the contractor addresses construction safety concerns.

LIHUE – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) is canceling the planned full weekend closure of Waikoko Bridge originally scheduled for Friday, May 31 through Monday, June 3 and nighttime work on Waikoko and Waipa Bridges on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) as the contractor addresses construction safety concerns.

Notices will be sent when the work is rescheduled and a revised calendar will be posted to https://hidot.hawaii.gov/highways/2018-kuhio-highway-emergency-repairs/
