Posted on May 15, 2019 in Latest Department News

HONOLULU – In recognition of Police Week, the Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) is sharing a public service announcement (PSA) on Hawaii’s Move Over law and is illuminating Aloha Tower in blue.

“Our local law enforcement have always been great partners in traffic safety,” said Hawaii Department of Transportation Director Jade Butay. “We believe it’s important to honor those that are tasked with making sure our traffic laws are enforced for the benefit of all road users.”

The PSA, which reminds drivers that Hawaii law requires drivers to slow down or move over when approaching a stopped emergency vehicle, can be viewed on HDOT’s YouTube channel here.
