HDOT News Release: Offramp to the northbound H-2 Freeway from Farrington Highway town-bound will be closed on Sept. 24 and 25

HONOLULU – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) advises Oahu motorists that the northbound H-2 Freeway offramp from Farrington Highway in the town-bound direction will be closed daily from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., on Monday, Sept. 24, 2018, and Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018, for electrical maintenance work.

Electronic message boards will be posted to warn motorists of the closure and detours. Special Duty Police Officers will be on-site to assist with traffic control. First responders, emergency vehicles and TheBus have been notified.

HDOT advises motorists to take the Northbound Kamehameha Highway offramp from Farrington Highway or the eastbound H-1 Freeway to the northbound H-2 Freeway as an alternate route. Motorists are advised to allow for extra travel time and to check traffic apps before heading to their destinations. Roadwork is weather permitting.
