HDOT NEWS RELEASE: Runway 4R-22L temporarily closed at Honolulu International Airport for airfield maintenance

Posted on Jun 6, 2016 in Latest Department News

HONOLULU – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) advises Oahu residents that Runway 4R-22L will be closed for nightly airfield maintenance from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Wednesday night, June 8, 2016 through Saturday morning, June 11, 2016.

During this time, flight patterns will be altered to use other operational runways which may cause an increase in air traffic over the Ewa Plains. All work is weather permitting.

HDOT thanks the community for its cooperation as we work to improve the condition of the Honolulu International Airport’s runways.
