HONOLULU – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) advises Oahu residents that Runway 8R-26L will be closed for airfield maintenance from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2016 and nightly from midnight to 8 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2016 through Saturday morning, May 28, 2016.

During this time flight patterns will be altered to use other operational runways which may cause an increase in air traffic over Downtown Honolulu and Kalihi. All work is weather permitting.
