HDOT NEWS RELEASE: Taxiway RB temporarily closed at Honolulu International Airport for emergency pavement repair

Posted on Sep 23, 2016 in Latest Department News

HONOLULU – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) advises Oahu residents that Taxiway RB will be closed from 4:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 23, 2016, through 7 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016.

The purpose of this closure is to allow crews to conduct emergency pavement repairs.

During this time aircraft will be diverted to Runway 8L, resulting in a possible increase in noise activity over Honolulu.

HDOT thanks the community for its cooperation as we work to maintain the safety of Honolulu International Airport’s runways.
