OAHU LANE CLOSURES
FOR THE WEEKEND OF AUG. 17 – AUG. 19

PLEASE NOTE:
Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.
All projects are weather permitting.

— H-1 FREEWAY —

1) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Queen Emma Street overpass and the Nuuanu Avenue overpass on Friday, Aug. 17, through Friday, Aug. 24, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

2) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Kalihi Street overpass and the Liliha Street overpass on Friday, Aug. 17, through Friday, Aug. 24, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

3) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Two right lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Vineyard Boulevard offramp (Exit 22) and the School Street offramp (Exit 21A) on Sunday night, Aug. 19, through Friday morning, Aug. 24, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for guardrail and shoulder improvements. The westbound Punchbowl Street onramp will be closed during this time. Traffic will be detoured.

5) PEARL CITY (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Up to three lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in both directions between the H-1/H-2 merge and the Aiea Heights Drive overpass on Thursday night, Aug. 16, through Sunday morning, Aug. 19, for pavement work. Follow traffic control signs for usage of shoulder lanes.

Thursday night
• Eastbound: Two lanes close at 6:30 p.m. Three lanes close at 7:30 p.m. All lanes reopen at 4 a.m.
• Westbound: Two lanes close at 8 p.m. Three lanes close at 9 p.m. All lanes reopen at 3 a.m.

Friday night
• Eastbound: Two lanes close at 6:30 p.m. Three lanes close at 7:30 p.m. All lanes reopen at 6:30 a.m.
• Westbound: Two lanes close at 7:30 p.m. Three lanes close at 9 p.m. All lanes reopen at 12:30 p.m.

Saturday night
• Eastbound: Two lanes close at 7 p.m. Three lanes close at 8 p.m. All lanes reopen at 9 a.m.
• Westbound: Two lanes close at 6 p.m. Three lanes close at 9 p.m. All lanes reopen at 12:30 p.m.

2) NANAKULI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Lane closure on Farrington Highway in both directions between Helelua Street and Hakimo Road on Sunday night, Aug. 19, through Friday morning, Aug. 24, from 9 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., for road striping.

— PALI HIGHWAY —

1) KANEOHE TO NUUANU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Closure of the Pali Highway in the Honolulu-bound direction between Kamehameha Highway to Waokanaka Street on Sunday night, Aug. 19, through Friday morning, Aug. 24, from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m., for the Pali Highway Resurfacing project.

Up to two lanes tentatively closed on the Pali Highway in Kailua-bound direction between Nuuanu Avenue and Waokanaka Street on Sunday night, Aug. 19, through Friday morning, Aug. 24, for the Pali Highway Resurfacing project.

• One lane closed from 6:45 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• Two lanes closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

— MIDDLE STREET —

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Lane closures on Middle Street in both directions between North King Street and Kamehameha Highway on Friday night, Aug. 17, through Saturday morning, Aug. 18, and on Monday night, Aug. 20, through Friday morning, Aug. 24, from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m., for the Middle Street Pavement Reconstruction project. Traffic will be contraflowed, and some turns may be restricted.

Pedestrians are directed to use the east sidewalk as the west shared use walk and bike path is closed.

Lane shifts on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) in both directions between Hanapepe Road and Puolo Road on Sunday, Aug. 19, through Friday, Aug. 24, over a 24-hour period, for bridge construction.

— KUHIO HIGHWAY —
1) WAIKOKO TO WAINIHA (WEEKEND WORK)
Limited access for local traffic on Kuhio Highway between Waikoko and Wainiha on Saturday from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sundays from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., due to slope stabilization work. To view the limited access schedule, please click here. Please note that starting Monday, Aug. 6, the Monday through Saturday schedule will be changed to 5:50 a.m. to 11 p.m.
