OAHU LANE CLOSURES

FOR THE WEEKEND OF OCT. 26 – OCT. 28

 

PLEASE NOTE:

Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.
All projects are weather permitting.

 

— H-1 FREEWAY —

 

1) HONOLULU (24-HOUR WORK)

24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Pali Highway overpass and the Houghtailing Street underpass on Friday, Oct. 26, through Friday, Nov. 2, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

2) HONOLULU (24-HOUR WORK)

24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Kalihi Street overpass and the Liliha Street overpass on Friday, Oct. 26, through Friday, Nov. 2, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

3) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Two right lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in both directions on Sunday night, Oct. 28, through Friday morning, Nov. 2, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

  • Two right lanes will be closed in the eastbound direction between the Gulick Avenue overpass and the Kalihi Street overpass.
  • Two right lanes will be closed in the westbound direction between the Queen Emma Street overpass and the Houghtailing Street underpass.

 

4) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)

Alternating lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Nimitz Highway offramp (Exit 15) and the Middle Street/Dillingham Boulevard offramp (Exit 18B) on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 5:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., for maintenance work.

 

 

5) KAPOLEI (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction in the vicinity of the Farrington Highway overpass on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., for maintenance work.

 

6) PEARL CITY (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Up to three lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the H-1/H-2 merge and the Aiea Heights Drive overpass on Friday night, Oct. 26, through Saturday morning, Oct. 27, for striping work.

 

Friday night (Shoulder lane will be closed)

  • Two lanes will be closed from 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
  • Three lanes will be closed from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.

 

Saturday night (Shoulder lane will be open)

  • Two lanes will be closed from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m.
  • Three lanes will be closed from 8 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Two right lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Kaonohi Street overpass and the Pearl City offramp on Friday night, Oct. 26, through Saturday morning, Oct. 27, from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. for pavement striping.

8) PEARL CITY (WEEKEND WORK)

Shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Pearlridge/Waimalu offramp (Exit 10) and the Aiea Heights Drive overpass on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., for shoulder widening work.

1) NANAKULI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure on Farrington Highway in both directions between the Aliinui Drive overpass and Hakimo Road on Sunday night, Oct. 28, through Friday morning, Nov. 2, from 9 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., for road striping.

 

 

— KALANIANAOLE HIGHWAY —

 

 

1) AINA HAINA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closures on Kalanianaole Highway in the westbound direction between West Hind Drive and the H-1 Freeway on Sunday night, Oct. 28, through Friday morning, Nov. 2, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., for resurfacing work and pavement striping. Traffic will be contraflowed in the eastbound direction.

 

2) AINA HAINA (WEEKEND WORK)

Shoulder closure on Kalanianaole Highway in both directions between Laukahi Street and Kalaniiki Street on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., for maintenance work.

Roving lane closure on Kalanianaole Highway in both directions between Ulupii Street and Keolu Drive on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 7 a.m. to 12:30.m., for maintenance work.

 

 

— KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY —

 

1) AIEA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Two lanes closed on Kamehameha Highway in the eastbound direction in the vicinity of Pali Momi Street on Sunday night, Oct. 28, through Thursday morning, Nov. 1, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., for resurfacing work.

 

 

2) HALEIWA (WEEKEND WORK)
Roving lane closure on Kamehameha Highway in both directions between the Halawa Interchange and Ka Uka Boulevard on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for maintenance work.

 

3) MALAEKAHANA (WEEKEND WORK)

Roving closure on Kamehameha Highway in the northbound direction between Naniloa Loop and S Golf Course Road on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 5 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for maintenance work.

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closures on Kalihi Street in both directions between Beckley Street and Nimitz Highway on Sunday night, Oct. 28, through Friday morning, Nov. 2, from 7 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., for equipment installations, pavement reconstruction, and lowering of manholes. Two lanes will remain open at all times.

 

  • Lanes will be closed in the southbound direction on Sunday night through Tuesday morning.
  • Lanes will be closed in the northbound direction on Wednesday night through Friday morning.

 

 

— MIDDLE STREET —

 

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closures on Middle Street in both directions between North King Street and Kamehameha Highway on Friday night, Oct. 26, through Saturday morning, Oct. 27, and on Monday night, Oct. 29, through Friday morning, Nov. 2, from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m., for the Middle Street Pavement Reconstruction project. Traffic will be contraflowed.

 

Pedestrians are directed to use the east sidewalk as the west shared use walk and bike path is closed on a 24/7 basis.
