OAHU LANE CLOSURES

FOR THE WEEKEND OF NOV. 2 – NOV. 4

 

PLEASE NOTE:

Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.
All projects are weather permitting.

 

— H-1 FREEWAY —

 

1) HONOLULU (24-HOUR WORK)

24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Pali Highway overpass and the Houghtailing Street underpass on Friday, Nov. 2, through Friday, Nov. 9, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

2) HONOLULU (24-HOUR WORK)

24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Kalihi Street overpass and the Liliha Street overpass on Friday, Nov. 2, through Friday, Nov. 9, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

3) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Two right lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in both directions on Sunday night, Nov. 4, through Tuesday morning, Nov. 6, and Wednesday night, Nov. 7, through Friday morning, Nov. 9, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for guardrail and shoulder improvements. No closures on Tuesday night, Nov. 6.

 

  • Two right lanes will be closed in the eastbound direction between the Gulick Avenue overpass and the Kalihi Street overpass.
  • Two right lanes will be closed in the westbound direction between the Queen Emma Street overpass and the Houghtailing Street underpass.

 

4) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)

Roving ramp closures on the H-1 Freeway in both directions between Ainakoa Avenue and the Lunalilo Street offramp (Exit 23) on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., for maintenance work.

 

5) KALIHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction in the vicinity of the Middle Street offramp (Exit 19A) on Sunday night, Nov. 4, through Thursday morning, Nov. 8, from 8:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., for guardrail repair.

 

6) PEARL CITY (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Up to three lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway between the H-1/H-2 merge and the Aiea Heights Drive overpass on Friday night, Nov. 2, through Saturday morning, Nov. 3, for concrete panel installations. Shoulder lane will be open.

 

  • Two eastbound lanes will be closed from 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. and three lanes will be closed from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  • Two westbound lanes will be closed from 8 p.m. to 10:30 a.m. and three lanes will be closed from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m.

1) NANAKULI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure on Farrington Highway (Route 93) in both directions between the Aliinui Drive overpass and Hakimo Road on Sunday night, Nov. 4, through Friday morning, Nov. 9, from 9 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., for road striping.

 

2) WAIANAE (WEEKEND WORK)

Alternating lane closure on Farrington Highway (Route 93) in both directions in the vicinity of Plantation Road on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 5:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., for maintenance work.

 

 

— KALANIANAOLE HIGHWAY —

 

1) AINA HAINA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closures on Kalanianaole Highway (Route 72) in the westbound direction between West Hind Drive and the H-1 Freeway on Sunday night, Nov. 4, through Friday morning, Nov. 9, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., for resurfacing work and pavement striping. Traffic will be contraflowed in the eastbound direction.

 

 

— KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY —

 

1) AIEA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 99) in both directions in the vicinity of Pali Momi Street on Sunday night, Nov. 4, through Friday morning, Nov. 9, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., for resurfacing work.

 

2) AIEA TO WAIPIO (WEEKEND WORK)
Roving lane closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 99) in both directions between the Halawa Interchange and Ka Uka Boulevard on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., for maintenance work.

 

3) PUNALUU (WEEKEND WORK)

Roving lane closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 83) in the southbound direction in the vicinity of Punaluu Valley Road at the Punaluu Stream Bridge on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 5 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for maintenance work.

 

 

— NIMITZ HIGHWAY —

 

1) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)

Left lane closure on Nimitz Highway (Route 92) in the westbound direction in the vicinity of Ahua Street on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 6 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., for electrical maintenance work.

 

 

— PALI HIGHWAY —

 

1) KANEOHE TO NUUANU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Closure of the Pali Highway (Route 61) in the Honolulu-bound direction between Kamehameha Highway and Waokanaka Street on Sunday night, Nov. 4, through Friday morning, Nov. 9, from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m., for the Pali Highway Resurfacing project.

Right lane closure on Keahumoa Parkway in both directions in the vicinity of Kualakai Parkway on Friday, Nov. 2, through Friday, Nov. 9, over a twenty-four hour period, for The Rail project.

— KALIHI STREET —

 

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND/DAY/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closures on Kalihi Street in the southbound direction between Beckley Street and Nimitz Highway for equipment installations, paving, and lowering of manholes. Two lanes will remain open at all times.

 

  • Sunday, Nov. 4, from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Monday night, Nov. 5, through Friday morning, Nov. 9, from 7 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.

 

— MIDDLE STREET —

 

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closures on Middle Street in both directions between North King Street and Kamehameha Highway on Friday night, Nov. 2, through Saturday morning, Nov. 3, and on Wednesday night, Nov. 7, through Friday morning, Nov. 9, from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m., for the Middle Street Pavement Reconstruction project. Traffic will be contraflowed.

 

Pedestrians are directed to use the east sidewalk as the west shared use walk and bike path is closed on a 24/7 basis.

— KUHIO HIGHWAY (ROUTE 56) —

1) KAPAA (WEEKEND WORK)
Lane closures on Kuhio Highway between Makaha Road and Niu Street on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 8:30 a.m. until the Veteran’s Day parade is finished. Traffic will be contraflowed. All bus stops between Makaha Road and Niu Street will not operate until the road reopens.

 

— KUHIO HIGHWAY (ROUTE 560) —

1) WAIKOKO TO WAINIHA (EMERGENCY WORK, LOCAL ACCESS BY CONVOY)

Alternating lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions in the vicinity of Mile Markers 6.6 to 7.1 at Papaikou on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Monday, Nov. 5, through Friday, Nov. 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for road repairs.

 

2) SOUTH HILO (WEEKEND AND WEEKLY WORK)
