OAHU LANE CLOSURES

FOR THE WEEKEND OF NOV. 16 – NOV. 18

 

PLEASE NOTE:

Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.
All projects are weather permitting.

 

— H-1 FREEWAY —

 

1) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)

Two right lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction at the Valkenburgh Street onramp and the Kaneohe/Honolulu offramp (Exit 13B) on Saturday, Nov. 17, from 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., for the 2018 annual Race to the Base Triathlon.

2) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Right lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the University Avenue offramp (Exit 24B) and the King Street offramp (Exit 25A) on Sunday night, Nov. 18, through Wednesday morning, Nov. 21, from 8:30 p.m. to 3 a.m., for tree trimming.

 

3) HONOLULU (24-HOUR WORK)

24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Pali Highway overpass and the Houghtailing Street underpass on Friday, Nov. 16, through Friday, Nov. 23, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

4) HONOLULU (24-HOUR WORK)

24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Kalihi Street overpass and the Liliha Street overpass on Friday, Nov. 16, through Friday, Nov. 23, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

5) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Two right lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in both directions on Sunday night, Nov. 18, through Wednesday morning, Nov. 21, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for guardrail and shoulder improvements.  All westbound ramps will remain open.

 

  • Two right lanes will be closed in the eastbound direction between the Gulick Avenue overpass and the Kalihi Street overpass.
  • Two right lanes will be closed in the westbound direction between the Queen Emma Street overpass and the Liliha Street overpass.

 

6) KAIMUKI (DAY AND NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Hunakai Street underpass and the 21st Avenue underpass on Monday, Nov. 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Monday night, Nov. 19, through Tuesday morning, Nov. 20, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for sign and guardrail work.

 

 

7) KALIHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Right lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction in the vicinity of the Middle Street offramp (Exit 19A) on Saturday night, Nov. 17, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., for electrical maintenance work.

 

8) KAPOLEI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Closure of the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Makakilo Drive overpass and the Campbell Industrial Park/Barbers Point Harbor offramp (Exit 1) on Sunday night, Nov. 18, through Wednesday morning, Nov. 21, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., for the Kapolei Interchange Complex, Phase 2 project.

1) HALAWA TO KANEOHE (WEEKEND WORK)

Closure of the H-3 Freeway in the Kaneohe-bound direction between the Halawa Interchange and the Kaneohe Bay Drive offramp (Exit 15) on Saturday, Nov. 17, from 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., for the 2018 annual Race to the Base Triathlon.

Lane closure on Farrington Highway (Route 93) in both directions between the Aliinui Drive overpass and Hakimo Road on Sunday night, Nov. 18, through Wednesday morning, Nov. 21, from 9 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., for road striping.

 

2) NANAKULI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Left lane closure on Farrington Highway in the westbound direction between Nanakuli Avenue and Ka Waihona School on Sunday night, Nov. 18, through Wednesday morning, Nov. 21, from 8:30 p.m. to 4 a.m., for intersection improvements.

 

3) WAIALUA (WEEKEND WORK)

Alternating lane closure on Farrington Highway in both directions in the vicinity of Kuemanu Street on Saturday, Nov. 17, from 5:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., for bridge maintenance.

 

 

— KALANIANAOLE HIGHWAY —

 

1) AINA HAINA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closures on Kalanianaole Highway in the eastbound direction between Ainakoa Avenue and West Hind Drive on Sunday night, Nov. 18, through Wednesday morning, Nov. 21, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., for installation of traffic loop detectors and electrical work. Turn pockets will be closed. Two lanes will be open for eastbound traffic at all times.

 

2) KAILUA (WEEKEND WORK)

Roving right lane and shoulder closure on Kalanianaole Highway in the southbound direction between Old Kalanianaole Road and Keolu Drive on Saturday, Nov. 17, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., for maintenance work.

 

 

— KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY —

 

1) MILILANI (WEEKEND WORK)
Alternating lane closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 99) in both directions between Ka Uka Boulevard and Lanikuhana Avenue at the Kipapa Stream (Roosevelt) Bridge on Saturday, Nov. 17, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., for restriping work. Traffic will be contraflowed.

 

 

— NIMITZ HIGHWAY —

 

1) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)

Left lane closure on Nimitz Highway in the westbound direction in the vicinity of Ahua Street on Saturday, Nov. 17, from 6 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., for electrical maintenance work.

Lane closures on Middle Street in both directions between North King Street and Kamehameha Highway on Friday night, Nov. 16, through Saturday morning, Nov. 17, from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m., for the Middle Street Pavement Reconstruction project. Traffic will be contraflowed.

 

Pedestrians are directed to use the east sidewalk as the west shared use walk and bike path is closed on a 24/7 basis.
