OAHU LANE CLOSURES

FOR THE WEEKEND OF JAN. 11 – JAN. 13

All projects are weather permitting.

 

— H-1 FREEWAY —

 

1) HONOLULU (24-HOUR WORK)

24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Pali Highway overpass and the Houghtailing Street underpass on Friday, Jan. 11, through Friday, Jan. 18, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

2) HONOLULU (24-HOUR WORK)

24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Kalihi Street overpass and the Liliha Street overpass on Friday, Jan. 11, through Friday, Jan. 18, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

3) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Two right lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in both directions on Sunday night, Jan. 13, through Friday morning, Jan. 18, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

  • Eastbound closures between the Palama Street underpass and the Liliha Street overpass.
  • Westbound closures between the Vineyard Boulevard offramp (Exit 22) and the Liliha Street overpass.

 

4) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Closure of the Punchbowl Street onramp to the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction on Sunday night, Jan. 13, through Monday morning, Jan. 14, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for guardrail and shoulder improvements. Motorists will be detoured via Vineyard Boulevard.

 

5) WAIMALU (WEEKEND AND WEEKLY WORK)

Shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Pearlridge/Waimalu offramp (Exit 10) and the Aiea Heights Drive overpass on Saturday, Jan. 12, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, Jan. 14, through Thursday, Jan. 17, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on Friday, Jan. 18, from 9 a.m. to 11:59 p.m., for shoulder widening work.

— H-3 FREEWAY —

 

1) HALAWA TO KANEOHE (WEEKEND CLOSURE)

Closure of the H-3 Freeway in the Kaneohe-bound direction between the Halawa Interchange and the Likelike Highway offramp (Exit 9) on Sunday, Jan. 13, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for filming. There will be simulated gunfire and special effects smoke near the Harano Tunnel.

 

 

— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY (ROUTE 93) —

 

1) NANAKULI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Two lanes closed on Farrington Highway (Route 93) in the westbound direction between Piliokahi Avenue and Hakimo Road on Sunday night, Jan. 13, through Friday morning, Jan. 18, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for resurfacing work. Lanes will be closed at one intersection at a time starting at Piliokahi Avenue and moving west. Traffic will be contraflowed.

 

 

— KALANIANAOLE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 72) —

 

1) AINA HAINA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Two lanes closed on Kalanianaole Highway (Route 72) in the westbound direction between West Hind Drive and Ainakoa Avenue on Sunday night, Jan. 13, through Friday morning, Jan. 18, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., for manhole work. Traffic will be contraflowed in the eastbound lanes.

 

 

— PALI HIGHWAY (ROUTE 61) —

 

1) KANEOHE TO NUUANU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Closure of the Pali Highway (Route 61) in the Honolulu-bound direction between Kamehameha Highway and Waokanaka Street on Sunday night, Jan. 13, through Friday morning, Jan. 18, from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m., for the Pali Highway Resurfacing project. Crews will begin the pavement resurfacing work this week.

  • One lane closed from 6:45 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Two lanes closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closures on Middle Street in both directions between North King Street and Kamehameha Highway on Friday night, Jan. 11, through Saturday morning, Jan. 12, and on Monday night, Jan. 14, through Friday morning, Jan. 18, from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m., for the Middle Street Pavement Reconstruction project. Traffic will be contraflowed.

 

Pedestrians are directed to use the east sidewalk as the west shared use walk and bike path is closed on a 24/7 basis.

— MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

 

1) VOLCANO (WEEKEND WORK)
Traffic delays will be happening on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) in both directions between Mile Marker 28 and 32 on Saturday, Jan. 12, through Wednesday, Jan. 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for survey work. A survey unit and shadow vehicle will be traveling at speeds of 15-20 mph. After every mile they will move to the side to let traffic pass.

 

2) VOLCANO (24-HOUR WORK)

Alternating lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) in both directions in the vicinity of mile marker 29.1 in the Volcano National Park on Friday, Jan. 11, through Friday, Jan. 18, over a 24-hour period seven days a week, for road repairs.

 

 

— HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) —

 

1) SOUTH HILO (WEEKEND WORK)

Alternating lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions in the vicinity of Mile Marker 3.6 in Wainaku on Saturday, Jan. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for road repairs.
