OAHU LANE CLOSURES

FOR THE WEEKEND OF JAN. 19 – JAN. 25

 

PLEASE NOTE:

Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.
All projects are weather permitting.

 

— H-1 FREEWAY —

 

1) HONOLULU (24-HOUR WORK)

24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Pali Highway overpass and the Houghtailing Street underpass on Friday, Jan. 18, through Friday, Jan. 25, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

2) HONOLULU (24-HOUR WORK)

24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Kalihi Street overpass and the Liliha Street overpass on Friday, Jan. 18, through Friday, Jan. 25, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

3) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Two right lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in both directions on Sunday night, Jan. 13, through Friday morning, Jan. 18, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

  • Eastbound closures between the Palama Street underpass and the Liliha Street overpass.
  • Westbound closures between the Vineyard Boulevard offramp (Exit 22) and the Punchbowl Street onramp.

 

4) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)

Pali Highway offramp (Exit 21B) closed from the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction on Saturday, Jan. 19, from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., for sign structure installation and electrical work.

 

5) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)

Alternating lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Nimitz Highway offramp (Exit 15) and the Middle Street/Dillingham Boulevard offramp (Exit 18B) on Saturday, Jan. 18, from 5:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., for maintenance work.

 

6) PEARL CITY (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Up to three lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the H-1/H-2 merge and the Aiea Heights Drive overpass on Saturday night, Jan. 19, through Monday morning, Jan. 21, for shoulder widening work. The shoulder will be closed.

 

  • Two lanes will be closed on Saturday night from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. A third lane will be closed from 7:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Sunday morning.
  • Two lanes will be closed on Sunday night from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. A third lane will be closed from 7:30 p.m. to 4 a.m., Monday morning.

7) PEARL CITY (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Closure of the Kinau Street offramp (Exit 22) from the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction on Friday night, Jan. 18, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for maintenance work.

 

8) WAIMALU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction on the Pearl City Viaduct and Waimalu Viaduct from 10 a.m. on Friday morning, Jan. 18, continuously through 6:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, Jan. 19, for shoulder widening work.

 

  • Right lane will be closed between the Pearlridge/Waimalu offramp (Exit 10) and the Kaonohi Street overpass on Friday, Jan. 18, from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Two lanes will be closed between the H-1/H-2 Merge and the Aiea Heights Drive overpass on Friday, Jan. 19, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., a third lane will be closed from 7:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Saturday morning, Jan. 20.

9) WAIMALU (WEEKEND WORK)

Shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Pearlridge/Waimalu offramp (Exit 10) and the Aiea Heights Drive overpass, for shoulder widening work.

 

  • Shoulder will be closed on Saturday, Jan. 19, from 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.
  • Shoulder will be closed on Sunday, Jan. 20, from 12 a.m. to 4 a.m.

1) KANEOHE TO HALAWA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Closure of the H-3 Freeway in the Kaneohe-bound direction between the Halawa Interchange and the Halekou Interchange on Sunday, Jan. 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., for filming of Magnum P.I.

 

 

— LIKELIKE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 63) —

 

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND WORK)

Closure of the Likelike Highway (Route 63) Runaway Truck Ramp in the Honolulu-bound direction in the vicinity of Valley View Drive on Saturday, Jan. 19, from 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for pothole patching.

 

 

— NIMITZ HIGHWAY (ROUTE 92) —

 

1) AIRPORT INDUSTRIAL AREA (NIGHT WORK)

Closure of the westbound lanes of Nimitz Highway between Peltier Avenue and Camp Caitlin Road on Friday, Jan. 18, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., for filming of Hawaii Five-O. A detour will be available for motorists via Nimitz Road.

 

 

— KEAHUMOA PARKWAY —

 

1) KAPOLEI (24-HOUR WORK)

Lane shifts on Keahumoa Parkway in the westbound direction in the vicinity of Kualakai Parkway on Friday, Jan. 18, through Friday, Jan. 25, over a twenty-four hour period, for The Rail project.

Roving right lane and shoulder closure on Kunia Road (Route 750) in both directions between the H-1 Freeway and Wilikina Drive on Saturday, Jan. 19, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., for maintenance work.

 

 

— KALIHI STREET (ROUTE 63) —

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND WORK)

Two lane closures on Kalihi Street (Route 63) in the northbound direction between Akina Street and Beckley Street on Sunday, Jan. 20, from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for paving work. Two lanes will remain open at all times.

 

 

— MIDDLE STREET —

 

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closures on Middle Street in both directions between North King Street and Kamehameha Highway on Friday night, Jan. 18, through Saturday morning, Jan. 19, and on Tuesday night, Jan. 22, through Friday morning, Jan. 25, from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m., for the Middle Street Pavement Reconstruction project. Traffic will be contraflowed.

 

Pedestrians are directed to use the east sidewalk as the west shared use walk and bike path is closed on a 24/7 basis.

1) LAHAINA (WEEKEND AND WEEKLY NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure on Honoapiilani Highway (Route 30) in both directions between Kapunakea Street and Keawe Street on Friday night, Jan. 18, through Saturday morning, Jan. 19 and from Tuesday night, Jan. 22, through Friday morning, Jan. 25, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., for pavement striping and traffic loop installations. One lane will remain open in both directions. Closures will also occur on Keawe Street between Honoapiilani Highway (Route 30) and Kupuohi Street.
