OAHU LANE CLOSURES

FOR THE WEEKEND OF FEB. 15 – FEB. 17

 

PLEASE NOTE:

Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.
All projects are weather permitting.

 

— H-1 FREEWAY —

 

1) HONOLULU (24-HOUR WORK)

24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Pali Highway overpass and the Houghtailing Street underpass on Friday, Feb. 15, through Friday, Feb. 22, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

2) HONOLULU (24-HOUR WORK)

24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction in the vicinity of the Liliha Street overpass on Friday, Feb. 15, through Friday, Feb. 22, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

3) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)

Lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction in the vicinity of the Airport offramp (Exit 16) on Saturday, Feb. 16, from 5:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., for maintenance work.

 

4) PEARL CITY TO AIEA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Up to three lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Waiawa Interchange and the Aiea Heights Drive overpass from 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 15, continuously through 6:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, Feb. 16, for shoulder widening work. The shoulder will be closed.

 

  • Right lane will be closed between the Pearlridge/Waimalu offramp (Exit 10) and the Kaonohi Street overpass on Friday from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Two lanes will be closed between the H-1/H-2 Merge and the Aiea Heights Drive overpass from 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., and a third lane will be closed from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. Saturday morning.

5) PEARL CITY TO AIEA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Up to three lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the H-1/H-2 merge and the Aiea Heights Drive overpass on Saturday night, Feb. 16, through Monday morning, Feb. 18, for shoulder widening work. The shoulder will be closed.

 

  • Two lanes will be closed on Saturday night from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m., Sunday morning. A third lane will be closed between the hours of 8 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
  • Two lanes will be closed on Sunday night from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. A third lane will be closed from 7:30 p.m. to 4 a.m., Monday morning.

6) WAIMALU TO AIEA (WEEKEND AND WEEKLY WORK)

Shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Pearlridge/Waimalu offramp (Exit 10) and the Aiea Heights Drive overpass for shoulder widening work.

 

  • Friday, Feb. 15, from 9 a.m. continuously through Monday morning, Feb. 18, at 4 a.m.
  • Tuesday, Feb. 19, through Thursday, Feb. 21, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., daily.
  • Friday, Feb. 22, from 9 a.m. through 11:59 p.m.

— H-201 MOANALUA FREEWAY —

 

1) MOANALUA (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure on the H-201 Moanalua Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Puuloa Road overpass and the Funston Road overpass, on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019, from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m., for pavement work.

 

The Fort Shafter/King Street offramp will also be closed. Motorists wanting to access North King Street are advised to take the Airport/Tripler Hospital offramp (Exit 3) which will become North King Street.

 

 

— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY (ROUTE 93) —

 

1) MAKAHA (WEEKEND WORK)

Roving right lane closure on Farrington Highway (Route 93) in both directions in the vicinity of Makua Valley Road on Saturday, Feb. 16, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., for maintenance work.

 

2) MAKAHA (WEEKEND WORK)

Roving right lane closure on Farrington Highway (Route 93) in both directions between Lawaia Street and Ala Akau Street on Saturday, Feb. 16, from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for maintenance work.

 

 

— KALANIANAOLE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 72) —

 

1) WAIMANALO (WEEKEND CLOSURE)

Right lane closure on Kalanianaole Highway (Route 72) in the westbound direction between Aloiloi Street and Tinker Road on Saturday, Feb. 16, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for maintenance work.

 

 

— KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 99) —

 

1) PEARL CITY (24-HOUR WORK)

Lane closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 99) in the eastbound direction between Waihona Street and Acacia Road on Friday, Feb. 15, through Friday, Feb. 22, over a 24-hour period, for The Rail project.

Left lane closure on Nimitz Highway (Route 92) in both directions in the vicinity of Ahua Street on Saturday, Feb. 16, from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m., for electrical maintenance work.

 

 

— PALI HIGHWAY (ROUTE 61) —

 

1) NUUANU (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure on the Pali Highway (Route 61) in the Kailua-bound direction between Nuuanu Pali Drive and the Pali Tunnels on Saturday, Feb. 16, from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for tree trimming.

 

 

— KEAHUMOA PARKWAY —

 

1) KAPOLEI (24-HOUR WORK)

Lane shifts on Keahumoa Parkway in the westbound direction in the vicinity of Kualakai Parkway on Friday, Feb. 15, through Tuesday, Feb. 19, over a twenty-four hour period, for The Rail project.

— MIDDLE STREET —

 

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Alternating lane closure on Middle Street in both directions between North King Street and Kamehameha Highway on Friday night, Feb. 15, through Saturday morning, Feb. 16, and on Tuesday night, Feb. 19, through Friday morning, Feb. 22, from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m., for loop detector and pavement marking installations. Traffic will be contraflowed.

 

Pedestrians are directed to use the east sidewalk as the west shared use walk and bike path is closed on a 24/7 basis.

— KAUMUALII HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

 

1) HANAPEPE (24/7 CLOSURE)

The Hanapepe River Bridge on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) between Puolo Road and Iona Road will be closed, and traffic will be shifted to the adjacent temporary bridge on Friday, Feb. 15, through Friday, Feb. 22, over a twenty-four-hour period, seven days a week. Speed limit is reduced to 25 mph.

 

 

— KUHIO HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —

 

1) WAIKOKO TO WAINIHA (EMERGENCY WORK, LOCAL ACCESS BY CONVOY)
Limited access for local traffic on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) between Waikoko and Wainiha on Mondays through Saturdays from 5:50 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sundays and holidays from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., due to slope stabilization work. To view the limited access schedule, please click here.

Alternating lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions in the vicinity of mile marker 11.1 in Pepeekeo on Saturday, Feb. 16, through Friday, Feb. 22, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., for road repairs.
