OAHU LANE CLOSURES

FOR THE WEEKEND OF AUG. 3 – AUG. 5

 

PLEASE NOTE:

Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.
All projects are weather permitting.

 

— H-1 FREEWAY —

 

1) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Queen Emma Street overpass and the Nuuanu Avenue overpass on Friday, Aug. 3, through Friday, Aug. 10, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

2) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

24-hour shoulder closures on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Kalihi Street overpass and the Liliha Street overpass on Friday, Aug. 3, through Friday, Aug. 10, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

3) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Two right lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Vineyard Boulevard offramp (Exit 22) and the School Street offramp (Exit 21A) on Sunday night, Aug. 5, through Friday morning, Aug. 10, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for guardrail and shoulder improvements. The westbound Punchbowl Street onramp will be closed during this time. Traffic will be detoured.

 

4) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)

Alternating lane closure on the Middle Street/Dillingham Boulevard offramp (Exit 18B) from the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction on Saturday, Aug. 4, from 5:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., for maintenance work.

 

5) PEARL CITY (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Up to three lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in both directions between the H-1/H-2 merge and the Aiea Heights Drive overpass on Friday night, Aug. 3, through Sunday morning, Aug. 5, for pavement work.

 

Friday night

  • Eastbound: Two lanes close at 6:30 p.m. Three lanes close at 7:30 p.m. All lanes reopen at 6:30 a.m. The shoulder will be open.
  • Westbound: Two lanes close at 7:30 p.m. Three lanes close at 9 p.m. All lanes reopen at 10:30 a.m. The shoulder will be closed.

 

Saturday night

  • Eastbound: Two lanes close at 7 p.m. Three lanes close at 8 p.m. All lanes reopen at 9 a.m. The shoulder will be open.
  • Westbound: Two lanes close at 6 p.m. Three lanes close at 9 p.m. All lanes reopen at 12:30 p.m. The shoulder will be open.

— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY —

 

 

1) NANAKULI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Alternating lane closure on Farrington Highway in both directions between Helelua Street and Nanakuli Avenue, on Sunday night, Aug. 5, through Friday morning, Aug. 10, from 9 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., for road striping.

 

 

— KALANIANAOLE HIGHWAY —

 

1) AINA HAINA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Two lanes closed on Kalanianaole Highway in the westbound direction between West Hind Drive and the H-1 Freeway on Sunday night, Aug. 5, through Friday morning, Aug. 10, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., for pavement resurfacing work. Traffic will be contraflowed in the opposite direction. Two lanes in each direction will remain open at all times.

 

Sunday night through Wednesday morning

  • Two lanes closed in the westbound direction between Analii Street and the H-1 Freeway. Traffic will be contraflowed in the eastbound lanes.

 

Wednesday night

  • The westbound Kilauea Avenue offramp (Exit 27) will be closed. Motorists will be routed to Ainakoa Avenue, to Malia Street and to Kilauea Avenue.

 

Thursday night

  • Two lanes closed in the westbound direction between West Hind Drive and Waa Street. Traffic will be contraflowed in the eastbound lanes.

 

— KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY —

 

1) PUPUKEA (WEEKEND WORK)
Roving lane closure on Kamehameha Highway in the northbound direction between Pahipahialua Street and Kuilima Drive on Saturday, Aug. 4, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., for maintenance work.

 

2) WAHIAWA (WEEKEND WORK)
Roving lane closure on Kamehameha Highway in both directions between Kilani Avenue and Whitmore Avenue on Saturday, Aug. 4, from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for maintenance work.

 

 

— NIMITZ HIGHWAY —

 

1) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)

Left lane closure on Nimitz Highway in the westbound direction between Sand Island Access Road and Ahua Street on Saturday, Aug. 4, from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m., for electrical maintenance work.

 

 

— PALI HIGHWAY —

 

1) NUUANU (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure on the Pali Highway in the Honolulu-bound direction between Nuuanu Pali Drive and Waokanaka Street on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for maintenance work.

 

2) NUUANU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Closure of the Pali Highway in the Honolulu-bound direction between Kamehameha Highway to Waokanaka Street on Sunday night, Aug. 5, through Friday morning, Aug. 10, from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m., for the Pali Highway Resurfacing project.

  • One lane closed from 6:45 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Two lanes closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

— MIDDLE STREET —

 

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closures on Middle Street in both directions between North King Street and KamehamehaHighway on Friday night, Aug. 3, through Saturday morning, Aug. 4, and on Monday night, Aug. 6, through Friday morning, Aug. 10, from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m., for the Middle Street Pavement Reconstruction project. Traffic will be contraflowed, and some turns may be restricted.

 

Pedestrians are directed to use the east sidewalk as the west shared use walk and bike path is closed.

Lane closure on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) in the eastbound direction between Hokua Road and Lauoho Road on Sunday, Aug. 5, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., for tree trimming.

 

 

— KUHIO HIGHWAY —

1) WAIKOKO TO WAINIHA (WEEKEND WORK)
Limited access for local traffic on Kuhio Highway between Waikoko and Wainiha on Saturday from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sundays from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., due to slope stabilization work. To view the limited access schedule, please click here. Please note that starting Monday, Aug. 6, the Monday through Saturday schedule will be changed to 5:50 a.m. to 11 p.m.
