FOR THE WEEK OF APRIL 6 – APRIL 12

— H-1 FREEWAY —

 

1) HONOLULU (24-HOUR WORK)

24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Pali Highway overpass and the Houghtailing Street underpass on Friday, April 5, through Friday, April 12, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

2) HONOLULU (24-HOUR WORK)

24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction in the vicinity of the Liliha Street overpass on Friday, April 5, through Friday, April 12, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

3) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Two right lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in both directions on Sunday night, April 7, through Friday morning, April 12, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for guardrail and shoulder improvements. The School Street onramp to the H-1 Freeway westbound will be closed during this time. Motorists will be detoured via Palama Street and Vineyard Boulevard.

 

  • Lane closures in the westbound direction are between Vineyard Boulevard offramp (Exit 22) and the Liliha Street overpass.
  • Lane closures in the eastbound direction are between the Palama Street overpass and the Liliha Street overpass.

 

4) HONOLULU (NIGHT WORK)

Up to two lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Palama Street offramp (Exit 20C) and the Houghtailing Street offramp (Exit 20B) on Monday night, April 8, through Friday morning, April 12, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for sign work.

 

5) HONOLULU (NIGHT WORK)
Lane closure on the Airport offramp (Exit 16) from the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction on Monday night, April 8, through Friday morning, April 12, from 8:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., for sign work.

 

6) HONOLULU (NIGHT WORK)
Closure of the Airport/Hickam AFB/Pearl Harbor offramp from the westbound H-1 Freeway on Monday night, April 8, through Friday morning, April 12, from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m., for sign work. Motorists will be detoured to the Middle Street offramp (Exit 19A).

 

7) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)

Alternating lane closure on the Airport offramp (Exit 16) from the westbound H-1 Freeway on Saturday, April 6, from 5:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., for bridge maintenance.

 

8) HONOLULU (24-HOUR WORK)

Shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction in the vicinity of the Airport offramp (Exit 16) on Friday, April 5, through Friday, April 12, over a 24-hour period, for The Rail project.

Up to two left lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Kunia offramp (Exit 5B) and the Kapolei/Ewa offramp (Exit 3) on Monday night, April 8, through Friday morning, April 12, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for sign upgrades and replacement work.

Left lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in both directions between the Farrington Highway overpass and the Makakilo Drive overpass on Monday, April 8, through Friday, April 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for the Kapolei Interchange Complex Phase 2 project.

Closure of the Campbell Industrial Park/Barbers Point Harbor offramp (Exit 1) from the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction on Monday night, April 8, through Tuesday morning, April 9, from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m., for underground electrical utility work. Westbound motorists will be directed to the Farrington Highway offramp (Exit 1E) as an alternate route.

Up to three lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Waiawa Interchange and the Aiea Heights Drive overpass on Monday night, April 8, through Friday morning, April 12, for shoulder widening work. The shoulder will be closed.

 

  • Two right lanes will be closed from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Three right lanes will be closed from 7:30 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Up to two lanes closed on the H-201 Moanalua Freeway in the westbound direction between the Ola Lane overpass and the Middle Street overpass on Monday night, April 8, through Friday morning, April 12, from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m., for sign work.

 

3) MOANALUA

Closure of the Kaua Street onramp to the H-201 Moanalua Freeway (near Ala Mahamoe Street) in the westbound direction Monday, April 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., for electrical maintenance. Motorists will be detoured left at the ramp to proceed to Mapunapuna where they may enter the H-201 Moanalua Freeway via the Puuloa Road onramp.

 

 

— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY (ROUTE 93) —

 

1) MAKAHA

Alternating lane closure on Farrington Highway (Route 93) in both directions between Kili Drive and Makua Valley Road on Monday, April 8, through Friday, April 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for paving work. Traffic will be contraflowed. Pedestrian and bicycle traffic will be limited.

 

2) MAKAHA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Closure of Farrington Highway (Route 93) in both directions between Upena Street and Kili Drive at the Makaha Bridge #3 on Saturday night, April 6, through Sunday morning, April 7, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., for bridge repairs. Motorists will be detoured in both directions via Makaha Valley Road, Ala Holo Loop, Huipu Drive, and Kili Drive

 

3) MAKAHA

Lane closure on Farrington Highway (Route 93) in both directions between Kili Drive and Hakimo Road on Monday, April 8, and Wednesday, April 10, through Friday, April 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for manhole work as part of the Farrington Hwy Resurfacing, Phase II from Hakimo Road to Kili Drive project.

 

  • Monday and Wednesday – Roving closures in both directions
  • Thursday and Friday – One lane closed in the westbound direction. Traffic will be contraflowed.

Roving lane and shoulder closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 83) in both directions between Kahana Valley Road and Johnson Road on Monday, April 8, through Friday, April 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., for erosion prevention work. Traffic will be contraflowed.

 

8) KAHUKU

Lane closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 83) in the southbound direction in the vicinity of South Golf Course Road on Wednesday, April 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for pole replacement work. Traffic will be contraflowed. Sidewalk and bike lane will be closed during this time.

 

9) LAIE

Lane closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 83) in the southbound direction between Cackle Fresh Egg Farm Road and Kaupau Place on Monday, April 8, through Friday, April 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for utility work. Traffic will be contraflowed. The bike lane and sidewalk will be closed during this time.

 

10) MILILANI

Alternating lane closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 99) in both directions between Waikalani Drive and Leilehua Road on Monday, April 8, through Friday, April 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., for bridge maintenance work.

 

11) PUPUKEA

Intermittent closures on Kamehameha Highway (Route 83) in both directions between Kapuhi Street and Iliohu Place on Thursday, April 11, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., for a film production. The closures will last between 1-5 minutes every 15 minutes.

 

12) SALT LAKE (WEEKEND CLOSURE)

Right lane closure on Kamehameha Highway (Route 99) in the eastbound direction between Salt Lake Boulevard and Ford Island on Saturday, April 6, from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m., for the Ford Island Bridge run.

Closure of the Pali Highway (Route 61) in both directions between Waokanaka Street and Kamehameha Highway on Saturday, April 6, through Friday, April 12, over a 24-hour period, for slope stabilization work following the landslide. The Kailua-bound lanes will be temporarily open during the schedule below.

 

From Monday, April 8, through Friday, April 12:

  • Honolulu-bound traffic will be contraflowed in the Kailua-bound lanes between Saint Stephen’s Diocesan Center and Nuuanu Pali Drive from 5 a.m. and 9 a.m.
  • The Kailua-bound direction will be open from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

 

2) NUUANU
Right lane closure of the Pali Highway (Route 61) in the Honolulu-bound direction between Dowsett Avenue and the Wyllie Street overpass on Monday, April 8, through Friday, April 12, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for utility work and other construction activities.

  • Lane will be closed at the Funchal Street intersection from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Access to Honolulu-bound Pali Highway will be limited to school traffic only. Traffic will be detoured via South Kuakini Street.
  • Lane will be closed from the Pauoa Road offramp to South Kuakini Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Lane closure on the Pali Highway offramp (Exit 21A) from the eastbound H-1 Freeway.
  • Right lane will be closed from the eastbound H-1 Freeway offramp to Vineyard Boulevard from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

1) WAIKOKO TO WAINIHA (EMERGENCY WORK, LOCAL ACCESS BY CONVOY)
Limited access for local traffic on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) between Waikoko and Wainiha on Mondays through Saturdays from 5:50 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sundays and holidays from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., due to slope stabilization work. To view the limited access schedule, please click here.

Beginning Wednesday, April 10, through Friday, April 12, the limited access convoys will run according to the Monday through Saturday (night work) due to the start of construction on the Waipa Bridge. The last convoy between Haena and Wainiha will run at 7 p.m. Please note that the 10:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. convoys have been changed and will transport to Waipa Bridge Park and Ride/Pedestrian Bridge.
